Instructions
A note before starting -
Please understand - the below diagrams are genuinely and carefully designed to help you navigate the build process. However, we don’t include specific recommendations for which tools, hardware, or products to use. These truly are “DIY” designs.
As such – a significant portion of the build-process will be up to you, the builder. So please know, there is no “right” or “wrong” way to assemble any of our designs! If you need to depart from the instructions, or rearrange things along the way, feel free to.
The only thing we ask: please be safe! And of course, there’s no shame in asking an expert for help or seeking guidance from your local professionals at any time.
And please: enjoy the process!
Step 1
First up: you’ll need a strong support structure.
To get started, use the diagram above to gather the parts you’ll need for this step.
In order to assemble these, you might want to consider laying them all out on a large flat surface (like a floor or large workbench) in order to accurately measure distances.
You’ll need to ensure that your short vertical support pieces are evenly spaced.
Once you have your measurements and markings complete, go ahead and permanently attach all the pieces as pictured, using whatever method works best for you.
Step 2
The last step! Time to attach your tabletop and benches.
For this step, you’ll want to make sure that each 4x4 is measured and marked for proper spacing and placement on your support frame.
Recommendation: It might be easier to lay all your remaining tabletop 4x4’s on the floor, measure/mark them there, and the flip your supports over in order to more easily install them. Then, you can flip the table back over, and add your benchtop lumber.
Whatever method you choose to accomplish this, just remember to line everything up appropriately so that the end product looks the way you expect it to.
And that’s it. How does it look?
Happy picnicking!
