Step 1: Creating the Frame

In this initial step, we will organize a frame to which the vertical posts will be attached. To proceed with this stage of the construction process, gather the following materials:

  • 2 profiles of 2x4 with a length of 86.5 inches
  • 2 profiles of 2x4 with a length of 90 inches
  • 2 profiles of 2x4 with a length of 65.75 inches
  • 2 profiles of 2x4 with a length of 70.25 inches
  • 2 profiles of 2x4 with a length of 85.75 inches

Begin by arranging the 75.25-inch and 85.75-inch profiles on the floor, following the diagram provided. Keep in mind the orientation of the front and back of your shed as you position these profiles.

Next, fix the four 86.5-inch posts to the front of the frame. These posts will provide support and stability to the front section of your shed. Then, vertically attach the two 65.75-inch posts to the back of the frame. These posts will serve as the vertical supports at the back of your shed.

By carefully following these instructions and assembling the frame accordingly, you will establish a solid foundation for the construction of your shed. This frame will serve as the backbone of your structure, ensuring stability and durability throughout the building process.

Step 2: Roof and Facade Structure

In this step, we will focus on two crucial parts of our shed: the roof structure and the main facade structure. Follow these instructions carefully for each component.

Roof Structure:To construct the roof structure, gather the following materials:

  • 4 profiles of 2x4 with a bird's eye cut at 15 degrees and a length of 96 inches
  • 2 profiles of 2x4 with a length of 77.25 inches

Begin by placing the 77.25-inch profiles on the 2x4 posts. Once positioned, secure the profiles in place with the bird's eye cut on them. These angled cuts will help create the desired roof pitch and add structural stability to your shed.

Facade Structure:For the facade part of your shed, you will need the following materials:

  • 4 profiles of 2x4 with a length of 16.5 inches
  • 1 profile of 2x4 with a length of 30.25 inches

First, place the 30.25-inch profile at the top between the intermediate posts, positioned at a height of 80 inches above the lower profile. This profile will form the top beam of the facade structure. Then, fix the four 16.5-inch profiles to create openings for windows or other desired features on your shed's facade.

By following these instructions, you will successfully construct both the roof structure and the main facade structure of your shed. These elements play a crucial role in providing support, stability, and aesthetic appeal to your shed's design.

Step 3: Lateral Covers and Finishing Touches

In this step, we will focus on the lateral covers of our shed, completing the main structure and adding essential finishing touches. Follow these instructions to proceed:

Materials needed:

  • 8 profiles of 1x4 with a length of 31.75 inches
  • 8 profiles of 1x4 with a length of 22.75 inches
  • 2 pieces of plywood panel with a 15-degree cut and a length of 93.21 inches
  • 2 pieces of plywood panel with a 15-degree cut and a length of 80.21 inches
  • 12 profiles of 1x6 with a length of 64.5 inches
  • 1 door measuring 30 inches x 6 feet
  1. Covering the Facade:Start by placing the 1x4 profiles on the ends of the window openings, leaving the intermediate area open. This will provide a finished look to the windows and create a clean appearance on the facade of your shed.
  2. Side Covers:Next, take the plywood panels with the 15-degree cuts and position them side by side, considering the slope of the roof. Secure them in place to cover the sides of your shed, creating a solid and weather-resistant surface.
  3. Back Cover:For the back of your shed, use the 1x6 profiles to cover the space. Attach them horizontally to create a sturdy and visually appealing back panel.
  4. Finishing Touches:To enhance the longevity of your shed, we recommend applying a protective coating such as exterior paint or enamel to the wooden profiles. This will help protect the wood from weathering and increase the lifespan of your shed.
  5. Door Installation:Lastly, install the 30-inch x 6-feet door to provide easy access to your shed's interior. Ensure it is securely attached and functions smoothly.

By following these instructions and adding the finishing touches, you will complete the lateral covers of your shed and create a durable and aesthetically pleasing storage space. Enjoy the satisfaction of a well-constructed shed that will serve your storage and organization needs for years to come.

Step 4: Porch Structure

In this step, we will focus on constructing the porch structure for your shed. Follow these instructions to proceed:

Materials needed:

  • 4 profiles of 2x4 with a length of 28.5 inches
  • 1 profile of 2x4 with a length of 74.25 inches
  • 2 profiles of 2x4 with a length of 90 inches
  1. Frame Construction:Begin by assembling the porch frame using the 90-inch and 74.25-inch profiles. These profiles will form the primary structure of the porch. Ensure that the longer profile (74.25 inches) is positioned horizontally, serving as the top beam, while the two 90-inch profiles act as the vertical supports.
  2. Connecting to the Shed:Once the porch frame is ready, join it to the main structure of the shed using the 28.5-inch profiles. Securely attach these profiles to connect the porch structure to the shed. This will create a strong and stable connection between the two components.
  3. Reinforcement:By incorporating the porch structure, you are adding extra strength and stability to your shed. This design will enable your shed to withstand various weather conditions, ensuring its durability and longevity.

By following these instructions and incorporating the porch structure into your shed, you will not only enhance its functionality but also create an inviting space to relax or engage in outdoor activities. Enjoy the benefits of a well-built shed with a sturdy and attractive porch area.

Step 5: Roofing Installation

Congratulations! You're now in the final step of building your shed. In this step, we will install the roofing material. Here's what you'll need:

Materials needed:

  • 3 pieces of corrugated roofing, 26 inches wide and 31.5 inches long
  • 3 pieces of corrugated roofing, 26 inches wide and 95.75 inches long
  1. Roofing Placement:Begin by positioning the shorter pieces of corrugated roofing, each measuring 26 inches wide and 31.5 inches long. Place these pieces side by side on the roof structure of your shed. Ensure a snug fit and align them properly.
  2. Roofing Installation:Secure the shorter pieces of corrugated roofing to the shed's structure. Use appropriate roofing screws or nails to fix them in place. Make sure the roofing panels are firmly attached to withstand wind and other weather conditions.
  3. Extending the Roof:Next, place the longer pieces of corrugated roofing, each measuring 26 inches wide and 95.75 inches long. These will extend the roof further, providing ample coverage and protection for your shed.
  4. Secure and Finish:Fix the longer roofing panels onto the shed's structure, ensuring they align properly with the existing shorter panels. Fasten them securely to create a watertight seal and prevent any potential leaks.

With the roofing installed, your shed is now complete! Take a moment to appreciate your hard work and enjoy the functional and organized storage space you've created. If you have any questions or need further assistance, you can always refer to the 3D model we have provided at craftyamigo.com.
